Getting back into painting after 20 years
After about 20 years, I decided to get back into miniatures painting. I'd always enjoyed Warhammer back when I was about 12, up until my mid-teens. I don't think I ever played an actual game but I loved making and painting the figures. Then when I moved house, I dug out my old figures from the attic and decided to see what I could do with them. My first step was to get some paints as all my old Citadel bullet pots had long dried out. The Stormcast Eternals I painted in March 2025. I got the Stormcast starter set and these were my first models I built and painted, based with some GW flock from the early 2000s. The great thing the set had is a wash, which I'd never figured out when I used to paint back in the 2000s. It was a real "caveman discovering fire" moment for me, as my models finally started to look like they had some shading. I'll be using this blog to keep track of all my painting and put in a few thoughts on each model.
